Shillong, Meghalaya, INDIA… The Switzerland of India, as they call it. This is place i was born, and where my father’s side of family still lives. We still have a big family house built by the British. All these places remind me of the time I have spent there. Shilong Peak, Elephant falls, Sweet Falls, Wards lake, Lady Hydri Park, all still remind me of those days. Some even remind me of Papa. Faint memories of Papa walking us in Lady Hydri park, and us looking at the leopards, and other animals they had. The Cathederal is the one our maid Pyaari took me every sunday morning for mass, and I still remember liking the white sweet thing they gave in the church. I wish for all of you to be able to visit Shillong at least once in your lifetime….

Google, Yahoo have introduced this thing where you can text a search string to their number and the results will come back to your cell fone. The trick is just to build the search string…. Here’s the article and some tips… BTW the numbers are Google : 46645 and Yahoo : 92466 …

What happened, here??? Its really weird how the Indian Government can surprise me when least expected. Here I was feeling very proud of all the good things happening in India, and the fact that the society is growing and maturing, and then this gets thrown on my face.

Love at 10, sex at 12, abortion at 14, marriage at 15 and divorce at 17. That doesn’t really look like a sign of woman empowerment. Does it?

This is one interesting controversy that I think we might all learn something from…. Too much politics in the name of the game… Its sad!! I was initially supporting Ganguly since I thought it was unfair to beat on the guy just coz he’s been a lil outta shape. But, after following the issue closely, it seems that there is more than I thought. Anyway, this may give you an idea about what i am saying.
